ben mullen architects is an architectural practice based in Wicklow, Ireland.
The practice operates within the traditional boundaries of architecture to address environmental concerns as the primary spatial, ethical, and aesthetic problems of our time.
The working method is collaborative, projects are developed from first principles with sensitivity to site, new material cultures and to the histories of construction.
The practice has developed specialisation working with heritage and protected structures whilst maintaining a critical position in contemporary discourse.

Recipient of the RIAI Emerging Architect Award, 2025 and the inaugural RIAI CCI Eileen Gray E-1027 Research Fellowship with residency at CCI in Paris, 2023.
Design Fellow at the School of Architecture, Planning & Environmental Policy in UCD since 2016 and invited design critic to the Office of Public Works, the Architectural Association of Ireland and to schools of architecture across Ireland and the UK.
